BIOGRAPHY: Full-time starter the past two seasons totaling 39/7/3.5 as a senior after 38/6.5/2.5 during his junior campaign. Started five games as a sophomore and totaled 13 tackles.

POSITIVES: Explosive interior lineman who makes plays in every direction. Quick off the snap, immediately alters his angle of attack, and chases the ball around the field. Displays terrific quickness, keeps his feet driving up the field, and effective defending the run.

NEGATIVES: Easily blocked from the action or engulfed by opponents. Marginal pass-rusher.

ANALYSIS: Powell is an ordinary prospect who must start to make more plays on the field. He has a slight chance to back up in a conventional alignment.
