BIOGRAPHY: Three-year starter awarded All-Conference honors since his sophomore campaign. Led the team in tackles as a senior, posting 71/12.5/5 after 55/15.5/8 as a junior.
POSITIVES: Athletic defensive lineman with good size. Fluid moving about the field, smooth changing direction, and makes plays from all angles. Plays with terrific pad level and balance and rarely off his feet. Immediately alters his angle of attack, pursuing down the line with speed. Has a closing burst to the action and plays with a good degree of explosion. Flashes power with the ability to hold his ground or defeat blocks.
NEGATIVES: Marginally instinctive and slow finding the ball. At times, too easily locked up by a single blocker. Only an average pass-rusher.
ANALYSIS: Langford has been a productive small-school player the past two years and has outstanding physical skills and upside potential. Offers possibilities as a two-gap end in a 3-4 alignment and should only improve as he physically matures.
